INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT
The purpose of the website ukrainedefensesupport.org is to share information about our organization and its work, to register interested parties for our mailing and contact lists at their request, and to accept donations.
Sign Up Form
When you sign up to our mailing and contact list using our sign-up form, your personal data is collected by Little Green Light, our donor and volunteer management database.
The personal data we collect when you sign up to our list includes:
Your name
Your email address
Your phone number
Your zip code
Date and time when you submit the form
How we use your email address:
We use the email addresses of our list subscribers to send emails with news related to our work, event information, and to coordinate our work (should you choose to volunteer with us).
We use MailChimp to handle our email list and mailings.
Every automated email will include a link to manage your preferences or unsubscribe. You can also unsubscribe from our email list by sending email to [email protected]
How we use your phone number:
We use your phone number to coordinate our work if you volunteer with us.
UDS sends once weekly texts with event reminders. By supplying your phone number, you agree to initial text message enrollment. Every text will include instructions for immediate opt-out (e.g. “Text STOP to opt-out”). You can also opt-out from SMS texts by sending email to [email protected]
We use MailChimp as our SMS marketing service provider.
How we use your zip code:
We use your zip code to determine what state and congressional district you live in. We use this information to send geographically-specific event emails, to inform people in specific congressional districts about actions they can take to help Ukraine, and to understand the growth of our membership.
As necessary to perform UDS’s work, contact information may be shared with appropriate volunteer members via third-party services: Little Green Light, Google Sheet, Monday.com and Slack. Access to this data is permissioned and password-protected.
Donations
When you make donations to Ukraine Defense Support through our website, your personal information is transferred to, and processed by, DonorBox.
DonorBox processes donation transactions using Stripe, and PayPal as payment processors. The credit card or bank account information you supply is transmitted securely to the relevant payment processors.
The personal data we collect when you make an online donation includes:
Your name
Your email address
Your phone number
Date and time when you submit the form
Donation payments are handled by DonorBox. UDS does not see or retain any of your personal financial information, including credit card number or PayPal account information.
Webpage Analytics & Tracking Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site and to gather aggregate performance metrics. We use this information to improve our webpages.
Google Analytics places a cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user. This cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.
We don’t collect any personally identifiable information using Google Analytics, and we do not combine the information collected through Google Analytics with any personally identifiable information.
We also use cookies in our pop-up registration form, to prevent it from continuing to pop-up after it has been closed.
You can block cookies by activating a setting on your browser allowing you to refuse the setting of cookies. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. If you use your browser settings to disable, reject, or block cookies (including essential cookies), certain parts of our website will not function fully. Children’s privacy
We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under 13 years of age, and no part of our Site is directed to children.
