All of us at Ukraine Defense Support stand in solidarity alongside Ukrainians as they fight to survive daily onslaughts of almost indescribable terror waged against them by a monstrous neighbor. Ukrainians have endured nearly 1,400 days of full invasion and war crimes, which have created catastrophic destruction across more than 20 percent of the country.
Thousands of Ukrainian civilians have been killed, many of them while sleeping in their homes as russia rained drones and bombs on their cities and towns. Thousands more have been taken prisoner by the aggressor. Thousands of Ukrainian children have been kidnapped and taken deep into russia. And thousands have escaped the war and become part of Ukraine’s hard-working diaspora.
Ukraine Defense Support stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine’s diaspora. Our hearts are broken by the recent murder of Iryna Zarutska in Charlotte, NC. Our hearts are with her family and friends, just as they are with the families and friends of every Ukrainian murdered by russia in Ukraine every single day and night since Feb. 24, 2022.
We are sickened by those who are using Ms. Zarutska horrific death for political gain.
