While UDS has long had ways to contribute in the Seattle and Bellevue communities, it’s been harder for those in the South Sound to attend meetings and events. That’s why we’ve started a group down in Tacoma, where we’ve welcomed volunteers as far north as Renton and as far south as Olympia!
Since we’re a new chapter, our current focus is in bringing awareness to others in the community who want to help and in finding ways to be more visible in the South Sound.
If you come to a meeting, you can expect to hear:
- Updates about equipment Ukrainian defenders have received from UDS in the past week – it’s important for us all to see the impact our efforts make!
- Updates about UDS events locally and in the Seattle area
- The latest ideas we’ve had for how we can contribute EVERY DAY
- About any events we’re planning and how volunteers can help
You’ll also have a chance to grab some Ukrainian groceries and dinner! This is of course optional, but we’d be grateful if you supported Emish Market who lets us host our meetings at their store every week for free. Emish has a great menu so please check it out!
